Essential Functions:

 Independently manage product development projects of moderate to high complexity from concept evaluation to product launchGantt charts on MS ProjectIndependently develop CAD (Solidworks) models and develop manufacturing drawings (Vector Works and Solidworks).Guide Product Engineer I in model / drawing development.Independently develop and execute verification tests for projects of moderate to high complexity.Work directly with vendors to establish / troubleshoot manufacturing processes.Support QA and SCM with problems / questions on an as-needed basis.Performs other related duties and assignments as required Manage Engineering StaffMonitor and manage workloadsPerformance goals and reviewsHiring responsibilityManage product development pipeline.Work with management team to identify product concepts.Manage overall product development schedule.Oversee project execution.Primary Engineering point of contact for distributors, sales, and marketing.Perform other related duties and assignments  as required

 

Educational / Experience Requirements:

 BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.  MS preferred.5+ years of product development experienceMedical device experience / understanding of FDA and ISO standards.Good understanding of manufacturing methods.Good understanding of quality engineering fundamentals.Project management experienceGantt charts, budgetGood organizational, documentation, and communication skills.Able to lift 20 pounds.
