Responsibilities include providing design, engineering, and analysis support; preparing and submitting information that describe product design concepts, attributes, and performance status; leading cross-functional design and development project teams; defining and executing product testing and validation protocols; managing design history file documentation; reviewing engineering designs for feasibility and accuracy; procuring and evaluating prototypes; and assisting in resolution of manufacturing and quality issues. Practical knowledge in orthopaedics, ability to apply parametric solid modeling and drafting; knowledge of CAD applications; and understanding of GMP is required.
