Development Information Systems Analyst I/II

Major Duties and Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for supporting a variety of software solutions within the MedImmune business area of Drug Development. These systems include but are not limited to: Sharepoint Portal Services, Agilent Chemstore Client/Server, Empower Workstation and Server editions, SoftmaxPro, Excalibur, Agilent 2100 Expert, Agilent UVVIS, Nugenesis SDMS, ChemLaunch, and SAS JMP. This position will be expected to coordinate and/or conduct reviews of the recommended practices and operating procedures for these systems. The position will require working knowledge of computerized systems architecture including network infrastructure, hardware and software support, applications development, and database technologies. Experience with formal and informal computer application training desirable but not required.The ideal candidate will be expected to be aware of advances in the Scientific Computing and IT fields, either by additional formal training, attendance to scientific gatherings or workshops, as required. Familiarity with regulatory guidelines (21 CFR parts 11, in particular) is a major plus. This position will require constant collaborative interactions with co-workers across functional groups and Departments. Strong interpersonal skills, outstanding verbal and written communication skills are essential. Due to the service oriented nature of this role, excellent customer service skills are mandatory. Requirements/Qualifications:Qualified candidates should have a 4 year technical degree or equivalent industry certifications and training. Strong computer skills with the demonstrated ability to understand a variety of systems development concepts and applications. Sharepoint portal certification and or experience a major plus. A minimum of 3-5 years related experience is desired. Education: B.S. Computer Science, related field, or industry equivalent experience.Experience: 3-5 years supporting various computer applications.Special Skills/Abilities: The candidate must possess broad knowledge of software systems support and be well versed in the various Operations Systems offered by Microsoft. Web administration and Sharepoint Portal experience is highly desired. Good verbal and written communication skills are required. Candidate must possess good time management skills and organizational skills.
