Development Technologist

Established in 1986, Genova Diagnostics has helped pioneer the field of specialty laboratory testing for optimal health and disease prevention. Genova is unique in its approach of providing laboratory tests in panels designed to provide clinicians with a broad view of physiological function and in the use of color-graphic rich reports designed to enhance doctor-patient communication.

Development technologists at Genova Diagnostics work under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Director, and his/her major responsibility is the development and validation of new assays, and improvement of current assays within the laboratory.
Specific job requirements are the ability to design and carry out experiments during validation, the collection and analysis of data, the ability to assemble complete validation summaries, and the ability to write standard operating procedures and train laboratory staff.

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical or biological science or a medical technology degree is required. In addition, candidates should have a minimum of 2 years experience in a clinical laboratory setting and should be familiar with graphing and statistical functions.

Previous expertise with HPLC, GC/MS, ICP-MS and ELISA assays will be extremely beneficial.
