Provide leadership, direction and people management for the application teams that support the global functions of HR and Corporate Communications.   Contribute to the overall/strategic direction of the applications or technologies within the IT organization. Ensure department goals are linked to short and long term business and IT strategies, and communicate these goals to the department, the business, and other areas of IT. Using strong business process and project management, ensure the effective delivery of IT solutions that meet customer requirements and meet or exceed the projected business value including the anticipated upgrade of the global single instance of PeopleSoft HCM. Establish and maintain strong customer relationships. Responsible for adherence to IT standards and processes. Manage capital and expense budgets within assigned areas. Develop strong collaborative relationships within IT and with business customers including Senior levels to understand long-term business strategies and develop system solutions. Communicate to senior management on status, issues, budgets and service problems. Manage vendor relationships. Keep current on industry trends in IT and the business or functional area supported. Participate in the research, analysis, selection and implementation of new tools, technologies and/or services. Develop, gather and measure relevant productivity metrics, and communicate these metrics to Senior Management on a regular basis. Use the baseline metrics to drive improvement in the organization, applications or processes. QUALIFICATIONS: Strong team building and talent management skills, and the ability to motivate team members to achieve goals. Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and/or teams across multiple functions. Must be a strategic thinker, and have strong influencing and communication skills. Proven track record of delivering on commitments. Prudent risk taker. Strong negotiation skills and a strong orientation towards customer service. Requires project management skills, budget/financial acumen, and strong business background. Must be process oriented and be able to define and implement new processes and standards. Experience supporting HR function with proven implementation experience ideally PeopleSoft as well as other strategic applications such as performance/talent management and learning solutions. Experience supporting communication customers also a plus Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred or relevant systems experience. Must have 12+ years of information systems experience in multiple areas of IT, and 5 years of management experience. MBA or MS a plus.
