Director, Business Development- Pharma Market Research/Marketing Consulting This position will be managing a Midwest territory, and the ideal candidate will be located in the Chicago area. Company DescriptionMy client is a pharmaceutical/biotech consulting company that provides sales and distribution analytics and reporting services to the healthcare industry.   There proprietary data, enrichment systems, analytic technology, and deep domain expertise enable manufacturers to monitor the channel for inventory changes, chargeback and rebate payments, and illicit commerce that jeopardize revenue and brand integrity. There services currently monitor more than $40 billion in U.S. prescription drug trade. Position DescriptionSeeking a self-motivated Business Development executive who will manage all aspects of the sales process. Specifically, the Sales Director will be responsible for: Selling a unique medical marketing research service to pharmaceutical companies Developing contacts (cold calling, where necessary) and managing a pipeline of client activity Organizing and conducting client meetings and presentations Writing and delivering proposals Accurately capturing sales process information in CRM system Preparing and executing a sales plan to exceed sales targets Working as part of a sales team including a Sales Manager and a Client Services Director Reporting to the Vice President of Sales  Position Requirements 8+ years experience selling market research/marketing products/services/solutions Experience selling to healthcare organizations Strong oral and written communication skills High attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work in fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize and oversee complex processes Strong organizational and relationship building skills Knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry or specific health-related conditions preferred, but not required Minimum four (4) year degree required Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Compensation Salary, bonus, equity (commensurate with experience) Unique opportunity to be an equity owner of a rapidly growing, venture-backed award-winning marketing research company  For confidential consideration for this position please send your cv in a word document to mlitten@kleinhersh.com .If you do not have experience selling solutions in to the pharmaceutical industry please do not apply. Visit www.kleinhersh.com to view additional job opportunities available through our company.
