Director, Cell and Molecular Biology

Repligen Corporation is a profitable biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of novel therapeutics for diseases that affect the central nervous system.   We currently market two commercial products, Protein A and SecreFlo®, which partially fund the advancement of our developing clinical pipeline while supporting our financial stability.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a group with technologies centered around molecular and cell biology while working within a multidisciplinary drug development team setting.

 

Duties and Qualifications:Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology or any related Biology field and at least 5 years of industry experience.  This position will lead the studies to investigate the mechanism of action of drug candidates through design and interpretation of in vitro and in vivo studies; this includes applying techniques such as gene expression analysis and protein biochemistry to characterizing new drug candidates.  Prior experience performing research in a development program setting is essential.  The successful candidate will take the lead in establishing a collaborative network for drug evaluation in models of disease as well as coordinate an internal group of PhD and non-PhD scientists performing protein and cell based assays.

 

Prior supervisory experience required as well as excellent organizational, interpersonal and presentation skills.
