Director Clinical Research - Oncology

This successful Texas-based pharmaceutical company has an immediate opening for a Director Clinical Research - Oncology.  Excellent salary, bonus, benefits.  Relocation assistance offered.

Responsibilities include:Translates clinical research concepts into specific objectives and activities to effectively achieve program goals and ensures the design and conduct of valid clinical studies, generating data supportive of Regulatory applications and business/marketing objectives. Manages all aspects of the preparation of the clinical sections of regulatory submissions.  Interacts with senior management and key functional groups regarding issues affecting timelines and corporate releases of information to the investment community and collaborates on relevant long-term clinical research objectives and concerns. Oversees the development of clinical development plans and report generation to track project progress in meeting key milestones. Identifies and develops relationships with external consultants, investigators and vendors, and represents the company to outside agencies and makes presentations on current clinical issues instrumental in obtaining regulatory approval. Participates in conferences, scientific meetings, and writing abstracts. Keeps abreast of current state-of-the-art developments relative to the medical program focus, and provides education to clinical staff and other project team members, as needed.

Requirements:Bachelors Degree in a scientific discipline, advanced scientific degree preferred. 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical clinical research5 years of experience managing direct reportsIndustry experience in oncology Ability to travel 30%
