Position/Opportunity Overview

You will lead and manage the Grants and Medical Education team/department (Oncology) by developing medical education plans by product.  Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, performing the following:

· Manage/lead/direct and develop a team of 5 professionals from entry to the Associate Direcrtor level 

· Consider, review, and render disposition for unsolicited requestors to support US grant funded education programs/initiatives in compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and Company requirements

· Ensure your team responds to grant requestor unsolicited requests timely, with transparency, and with high priority on grant requestor responsiveness

· Perform compliance review for all Patient Advocacy grants

· Manage, post and select RFPs

· Oversee selected RFPs

· Manage budgets/monthly forecasts and reconcile approved grants

 

Target Start Date

· ASAP (i.e. within 2 to 4 weeks after accepting an offer)

Requirements/Qualifications

· A BS in a Scientific Discipline is required.  An advanced Scientific Degree is preferred.

· 7 or more years of Pharmaceutical Industry experience is required.

· Several years of experience reviewing and selecting unsolicited grant requests for medical educational funding in accordance with OIG and ACCME guidelines, and legal and regulatory requirements gained working for a Pharmaceutical Company.

· Several years of direct management experience.

· Excellent verbal and writing skills.

· Experience reviewing and selecting unsolicited requests for oncology educational grants is a plus but not required.
