Terumo Heart, Inc is dedicated to the innovation, introduction and advancement of products to improve the quality of healthcare for heart failure patients. Our principal focus is the development, clinical evaluation and commercialization of the DuraHeart® Left Ventricular Assist System (LVAS). The system is designed to provide long-term circulatory support and address the shortage of donor hearts for cardiac transplantation. Combining patented magnetic-levitation and centrifugal pump technologies, the DuraHeart LVAS is expected to decrease complications and improve the lives of patients with severe heart failure.Terumo Heart, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Terumo Corporation with headquarters in Ann Arbor Michigan. The team is led by Chisato Nojiri, M.D., Ph.D., a pioneer in the field of mechanical assist devices. This position is responsible for the smooth and efficient flow of materials from suppliers plants through to end-user facilities. All activities are the result of multiple inputs from various sections (Sales, Plant, Administration and Customers) and rely heavily on forecast/assumptions and a degree of risk/reward analysis. All activities have a direct relationship to the financial well being of the Corporation (cash flow, balance sheet, and profitability). Responsible to set direction for the Materials Management, Export and Warehouse Sections. Typically requires a four-year college degree in business coupled with 10 years experience. Apics Certification and/or Masters degree is valuable and strongly desired because of the analytical decision making skills required. Strong business and mathematical capabilities. Complete understanding of the manufacturing process is essential to manage its impact on the supply chain. General knowledge of FDA requirement and ISO standards. Effective communication skills both oral and written.
