Director, Oncology Product Development Job Title:  Director, Oncology Product Development Department:  OncologyReports To:  Vice President/General Manager, Oncology  Position Summary:The role of the Director, Oncology Product Development exists to lead the prioritization and management of the overall ONCLink product and service offering.  As a senior level manager position within the Oncology Business Unit, this position will represent the Oncology business unit’s needs and priorities within the Operating Committee.  The functional support provided by this position will focus on new product development, routine product line maintenance and product management initiatives.  This position will build, nurture and then leverage relationships with Account Services, Business Development and IS Development in support of core business opportunities and strategic initiatives defined by the Oncology department. Position Responsibilities:Product Development Support  · Serve as product owner for all Oncology related product development enhancements/projects · Represent the Oncology business unit’s needs and priorities within the Operating Committee  · Lead the creation of the business case and “proof of concept” prototype(s) in preparation for approval and prioritization within the ImpactRx Product Development project queue   · Interpret business requirements defined by Business Development, client leads and other stakeholders into functional business requirement documentation for internal manual production and/or development initiatives · Work with Product Solutions manager to complete the detailed specifications in line with the standard process IS developer expectations for all approved product development initiatives · Coordinate with the Product Solutions Manager to develop release summary documentation for all approved initiatives and distribute to the extended Oncology team (including Account Services and Business Development members)   · Serve as the ONCLink product owner and lead the development and training of Oncology Business Development and Account Service resources on existing product functionality, enhancements or new offerings  Product Management Support · Support the Oncology Business Development team in a sales support role as a product expert for both the syndicated ONCLink offering and other services based on the oncology network · Own the ONCLink pricing model and provide the Business Development team with pricing guidance on all outgoing customer proposals/estimates · Assist Marketing product owners in communicating routine pricing estimates to Business Development · Assist marketing product owners in the development of product training material Essential skills and experience:·  Solid understanding of Market Research data collection, tabulation and reporting·  Basic understanding of the oncology marketplace, with experience in working with oncology treatment data preferred·  Exposure to basic marketing and product management principles·  Strong analytical skills and attention to detail·  Awareness of custom reporting needs driven by clients and how to interpret needs into common product features·  Understanding of how Business Intelligence software tools, SAS and/or SQL are used to query data and generate reports·  Working knowledge of Microsoft project and strong project management skills·  Strong knowledge of Microsoft power point and excel ·  Strong verbal and written communication skills·  Comfort level presenting new information to peers, Business Development teams and external clients  Qualifications: · BBA or BS with marketing or information science emphasis - REQUIRED· MBA preferred· Minimum years of general work experience (5-7 years), preferably with direct experience managing cross functional teams or coordinating cross functional projects Learn more about ImpactRx     |     Click here for more opportunities     |     Send this Job to a Friend
