Director Project Management R&D

Our client, a specialty pharmaceutical company, has asked us to assist them in their search for a Director of Project Management. Reporting to the Vice President Project Management the Director Project Management will have responsibility for project management of 1-2 projects in Pain or related therapeutic areas and will likely be called upon to be the Team Leader for at least one of these teams. The successful candidate will be a key member of project teams and sub-teams dedicated to the development of new NCEs, new combination drugs and/or new formulations of existing agents. Additionally, he/she will work with the Project Leader and sub-teams to prepare and implement product development plans aligned with R&D objectives and to develop plans and assessment budgets for potential in-licensed programs or acquisitions. The Director Project Management will provide the comprehensive planning to enable project/core teams to deliver products of competitive value to the marketplace on time and on budget. The scope of budgets can range from 100 million to a quarter of a billion dollars.
