Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP) Division of Ethicon, Inc. is a leading innovator of technologies in the areas of sterilization, high level disinfection, cleaning of medical devices, and hand hygiene. ASP markets STERRAD Systems, the CIDEX Family of Products, and PREVACARE Antimicrobial Hand Gel. The company is focused on hospitals and surgery centers. The Director, WW MDM Program will be responsible for the development and implementation of a strategic partnership program with WW Medical Device Manufacturers (MDMs) being relevant to drive our systems and applications into highest level of growth. Provides strategic plans and necessary tactical elements to position ASP's technologies into best value proposition and competitive advantages to deliver maximum growth both in units and accessory products. Manages both technical and commercial teams to ensure that overall MDM strategy is implemented and priorities set to ensure that objectives are achieved. Overall goal is to accelerate device product labeling or minimum endorsements by the MDMs for sterilization/high level-disinfection of their products in ASP products/systems and ensure that ASP system design compatibility is achieved in all relevant development projects. Responsible for Coordination of Co-marketing and compatibility studies on Sterrad and Biocides to deliver data convincing MDMs to endorse ASP systems, existing of elements as of: Manages technical and commercial aspects of the MDM team. Coordinates all ASP MDM program activities WW and identifies potential projects with major MDMs in all regions. Works with key MDMs to add information to their labeling, persuade incompatible MDMs to develop devices with compatible materials/adhesives/lubricants, support cost studies managed by regional affiliates to utilize best outcome worldwide. Prioritize the importance of selected MDMs to maximize the possible result when conducting joint studies and close on site collaborations. Identification and development of communication tools for MDMs; based on above outcomes to expand the interest and settle a win-win situation among other MDMs to follow our strategic partnership program. Optimize the tool for device evaluation process to constantly increase database of compatible devices into ASP's reference listing. Educate, support and facilitate regional clinical education forces to better use and best utilization to contribute to ASP's overall growth. Creates marketing tools, seminars/workshops to provide know-how transfer for external customers, MDMs and education for internal customers, ASP field forces. Support cost studies managed by regional affiliates to utilize best outcome worldwide. Coordinate the R&D MDM group activities prioritizing marketing initiated projects according the overall strategic goals. Proactively communicate with the R&D MDM group to ensure timely and committed follow ups according negotiated protocols with MDMs or requested material or devices testing/evaluations. Acquisition of relevant test material is not part of the described job as it needs specific skills (described in SOP's within for the MDM group). Manages communication to the broader ASP organization to ensure ongoing awareness of achievements and developments within the MDM group. Continuously inform R&D about the overall strategic goals and motivate the team to increase consistently the qualitative and quantitative performance.Leads a team of marketing professionals. Bachelor's degree required; preferably in marketing or engineering. At least 10 years of experience in commercial roles with strong engineering and technical expertise. International business experience required. Customer oriented attitude required. Strong negotiation skills required. Strong project management experience required. Proven cross-functional leadership skills required. A minimum of 5 years of people management experience required; both technical and commercial functions preferred.
