Director of Business Development-Biotech

Purpose:  To generate new business opportunities for Outcome and maintain positive working relationships with existing clients.  Position has target revenue objectives that directly affect the success of the Company. 



Responsibilities:

· Research, analyze, and monitor news articles, PR announcements and trends in the biopharmaceutical and medical device industries to generate potential contacts.

· Successfully close on new business opportunities.

· Contribute to company business development goals set by reaching personal targeted new business goals.

· Represent the company at conferences and other networking events to further expand business development contacts.

· Identify, qualify and follow-up with potential leads at pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies, as well as other health care institutions to generate proposals and contracts for the company.

· Present the company’s capabilities to senior level decision makers at biopharmaceutical and medical device companies.

· Write proposals and respond to RFP’s.

· Facilitate the transition of new projects, after contracting, to the professional services team.

· Serve as the Account Manager for all relationships developed on behalf of the Company and actively seek new business from these current accounts.


Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or higher 10 or more years of business development experience; previous experience selling to clinical or medical affairs directors in biotechnology, medical device or pharmaceutical companies is preferred.  Experience selling software and services is necessary, selling EDC or post-approval technology solutions preferable.
