Director of Managed Markets/Managed Care

Our client is a privately held specialty pharmaceutical organization located in the Philadelphia area.  They currently market a number or branded Rx products and are looking for a Director or VP to lead all of Managed Markets across their entire bussiness portfolio.

General Purpose of the Job: Leads the Managed Markets Function - budgeting, hiring, developing, managing and implementing strategies and tactical execution. This position is a senior leadership position within the organization.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

· Develops the strategic vision for the Managed Markets Organization with a in Managed Care and Government

 

· Works closely with the Marketing Organization to develop strategic plans for in-line and pipeline projects

 

· Manages the development, analysis, execution and financial reporting of National and Regional Managed Health Care Organizations, Pharmacy Benefit Management Organizations and Government entities

 

· Responsibility for formulary placement strategies and tactics across managed market segments

 

· Identifies and develops tactical plans that address the changing stakeholder dynamics that impact currently marketed products

 

· Develops and manages the Managed Markets yearly calendar and budgeting process

 

· Responsibility for staying current in industry knowledge across managed market segments

Education and/or Experience: 

 

Minimum - Bachelor’s degree

MBA Preferred

10-15 years in the pharmaceutical or managed care industry

Minimum of 3 years experience supervising teams

Marketing and Sales Experience Preferred
