Director of Mechanical Engineering (Medical Disposables)

Our client is a privately held rapidly growing company dedicated to the research and development of products that will advance therapy for people with diabetes. 

 

Job Duties:

 Responsible for the hands on direction of the ME group.(2-3 engineers)Will be responsible for the design and validation of disposable assemblies that work in conjunction with a consumer oriented, electromechanical medical device.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  Applicants are required to have a BSME, an MSME is desired, and have a minimum of 5 years experience. Expertise in CAD required, Solidworks preferred.  In addition, candidates should have a proven ability to develop product concepts from theoretical ideas, a practical application of analysis tools to support mechanical designs, experience with design and validation of sterile medical plastics and disposables.  Experience packaging electromechanical

components and mechanisms is highly desirable.  Demonstrated experience in high volume medical device manufacturing methods and processes, and the ability to design and specify manufacturing methods and techniques is also desired.

 Highly desired is experience in disposables or precision equipment or with durable LCD's. Medical device experience a plus, but not required. Other not seemingly-relevant experience may include working with military equipment with LCD's, any sort of mechanical widget, airplane equipment with LCD's, or a computer mouse.
