Director of Pharmaceutical Development

This position reports to the Chief Scientific Officer, Research andDevelopment. This position is responsible for overseeing manufacturingprocess development, API-sourcing, packaging and clinical supply. Theposition also involves participation in the development of candidateformulations. The company out-sources most of these activities tovendors, so there is a significant project management component. Thesuccessful candidate will have good interpersonal and projectmanagement skills with a good knowledge of CMC issues. Preferredcandidates will have an MS or PhD in chemistry or a related disciplineand >5 years experience in formulation development, processscale-up, chemistry and manufacturing controls and out-sourcing thesefunctions.
