This position oversees and directs the policies, procedures and activities of eCDM and Project Analysis teams in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining clinical applications/systems.  Facilitates and/or participates in and has input to the design/development process.



 

Overview:Directs and controls activities related to staffing, managing, and budgeting technical projects supporting EDC System implementation and maintenance of clinical systems/applicationsDefines project scope and how it will support achievement of business and department goals and objectivesMaintains current knowledge of issues affecting Information Systems and the Healthcare industryMonitors industry trends and identifies emerging technologiesEvaluates and selects standards tools for the departmentProvides counsel on Information Systems topics to Senior and Executive Management of area supportedOversees and manages the administration of the function assigned, including full budget and staff responsibilityEnsures employees receive training, development, coaching, and motivation for effective performance and retentionManages functional objectives and priorities supporting multiple assigned business unitsResponsible for the utilization of all direct reports.Work closely with implementation services personnel, to define better processes, ensuring quicker turnarounds and improved quality for study build tasks.Accountable for overall productivity and throughput of all direct reports.Manages all third party personnel (contractors) providing study build services

 

 

Qualifications: 8+ years computer systems experience, including major project management5+ years experience with clinical systems preferredPharmaceutical/Biotechnology knowledge or experience requiredEDC implementation experience and EDC knowledge, a mustPrevious relationship management experience with Director level and above on business sideExceptional logic and reasoning abilities, and capacity to deal with many projects and strategies simultaneouslyProven management skills to deal with managers and staff in complex business situations with little scheduling latitudeExcellent detail skills to track timelines, resources and budgetsExcellent verbal, written and presentation skillsCommitment to deadlines and deliverablesBachelor's degree in Information systems or related field experience
