DePuy, Inc. develops and markets products under the DePuy Orthopaedics, DePuy Spine, CODMAN and MITEK brands. DePuy Orthopaedics and DePuy Trauma and Extremities provide products for reconstructing damaged or diseased joints, and for repairing and reconstructing traumatic skeletal injuries. DePuy Spine facilitates fusion of the spine and correction of spinal deformities, including CHARIT, the first artificial spinal disc. Codman provides for the surgical treatment of neurological and central nervous system disorders through products such as hydrocephalic shunt valve systems, implantable drug pumps and micro-surgical instrumentation. DePuy Mitek offers innovative devices in sports medicine for the treatment of soft tissue injuries. The Distribution Associate will perform the following primary tasks: receiving tasks; Pact Data Entry, Deliveries, and Unloading. Packaging Tasks; Bag &Tag, Setup, Labels, Bulk counting, Repackage, and kits. Warehouse Tasks; Systems, Replenish, Putaway, Order Selector, Drexel, and Inventory Control. Shipping Tasks; Order picking. Order checking and packing, and order shipping. Express Care; Sterilizer, Kit Processing, Shipping, set reservations. Post Sterile Inspections; Inspection, Shrink-wrap, and Data Entry. Parts & Raw Materials; Work order fulfillment, inventory control, raw material processing. Credit Return; return processing, putaway, data Entry. International Shipping; Order Picking, order checking and packaging, orders shipping, drexel, order selector. The Distribution Associate will be trained to work in any of the areas mentioned. Emphasis will be placed on becoming proficient in each area the associate is assigned. Focus is placed on teamwork, therefore, cross-training is required. The associate must demonstrate the ability to comprehend work assigned and be able to work independently in at least one of the groups of primary tasks listed above (Receiving, Packaging, Shipping, Stores Control, or Express Care tasks). Additionally, the associate must show a team work spirit and must have started training in one or more of the four support tasks listed above. The qualified candidate must have a minimum of a High School Degree (or GED Equivalent) and at least 6 months of experience working in a Distribution or Warehouse environment is required. Prior experience in a Logistics, Supply Chain or Manufacturing environment is an asset. Candidate must be either a certified Forklift Operator or willing to become certified. Prior experience in an FDA or GMP regulated environment is preferred, prior experience utilizing and understanding Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) is required. The physical requirements of this position require occasional heavy lifting (up to 25lbs.), pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs, and standing for more than 75% of the time. Must be able to operate powered material and handling equipment. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively in English, and understand simple arithmetic. Prior experience in Domestic and/or International shipping and receiving, warehousing activities, ExpressCare, Post Sterile Inspection, Parts & Raw Materials, Credit Returns is highly preferred.
