Job Description Distribution Manager Job Title: Distribution ManagerLocation: Logan, UTNo. of Direct Reports: 4Day/Shift: DayPosition Summary: Manage daily operational activities and resources to support a multi-shift, multi-facility operation. Primary responsibilities will be to direct daily activities in all areas of warehouse operations including inbound, outbound, and inventory control. The incumbent will work with the Global Distribution Manager to develop strategies, measurements, and objectives to maximize productivity and minimize expenses. Will be a champion for implementing Lean principles within the department to eliminate waste and increase productivity. The selection, development, and motivation of all warehouse employees will be key to the success of this manager. The Warehouse Manager will analyze trends, solve problems and motivate and develop themselves and associates in order to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the operation. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: BA/BS required with preferred experience in Operations, Logistics, or Distribution activities. 1. Direct and coordinate the warehousing activities of HyClone Global Distribution. 2. Assist in the development of productivity & accuracy standards and follow-up to ensure acceptable quality control standards are met. Work to improve accuracy, service, and quality levels in each department. 3. Develop and maintain the processes necessary to move product into or out of the facilities. 4. Help develop and maintain inventory/security controls to prevent shrinkage and shortages.5. Analyze and make improvement recommendations to established departmental processes and procedures. 6. Work with other departments to determine the impact each has on the other and to offer the lowest cost alternatives. 7. Establish trust, credibility, and rapport with people to develop effective working relationships with people inside and outside of the organization.8. The reporting of requested information and data to management. 9. Manage site warehouse supervisors to ensure standardized procedures are followed in the areas of receiving, put away, picking, order preparation, production replenishment, and Kan Ban item management. 10. Develop supervisors capable of coaching, counseling and motivating employees to attain optimum performance, productivity levels, and morale. Ensure communication and teamwork among staff to aid in the accomplishment of the department objectives. 11. Seeks knowledge about the strengths and weaknesses of his/her self and team. Takes steps to maximize development of both self and employees.12. Participate in identifying and implementing areas for Lean process improvements and track and report improvements. 13. Communicates clearly and concisely with all audiences; keeps others informed and listens carefully to input and feedback; adapts messages to fit audience. 14. Ensure all company and HR policies and practices are communicated to department associates and practiced consistently. 15. Monitor operational policies and procedures to ensure the most efficient and effective processing of delivery orders; control of damages, errors and mis-picks; and excellence in customer service levels. 16. Responsible for ensuring that department associates are trained safe work practices. Manage associates keeping those safe work practices as first priority, making sure they are followed to support a safe work environment.Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria: 1.
