District Sales Manager - Wound Care
Description
Manage the activities of 3 regional specialty representatives. The DSM will be responsible for achieving district sales quotas, analyzing sales data, maintaining high standards for selling skills, market knowledge and product knowledge for district members.
Additionally, you will be charged with maximizing sales in key accounts within your assigned territory by developing relationships with key purchasing agents and distributors.
Manager DutiesManage a team of 3 wound care specialty representatives Ensure implementation of marketing plan Motivate team to achieve and surpass sales goals Develop strong relationships with distributor networks, GPOs and MCOs Maintain high level of communication with upper management, representatives and key accounts
Sales ResponsibilitySell client’s wound and skin care products to wound treatment centers, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, retail outlets, home care and nursing home distributors. Sales will be made through clinical presentations to medical doctors and nursing responsible for treating wounds and reducing scars.
Business presentations to buyers and distribution partners are also required to insure access to all markets. The key account/sales manager will be responsible for training and motivating end users as well as distributors to maximize customer satisfaction and sales.
Compensation
The candidate will receive a salary of $85,000, commission and year end bonus based on results. A car allowance will be provided as well as heath and dental insurance.
Requirements
Candidates should have a minimum of 2-4 direct management experience in the wound and skin care market place for either a major manufacturer or distributor focusing on this market segment. Knowledge of wound care distributor network Proven sales performance in managing a successful team Excellent leadership, communication and skills Ability to train, motivate and retain talented sales professionals Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
Candidates must have or be able to develop an understanding of the general differences in treating a variety of wounds including those as a result of diabetic neuropathy, venous insufficiency as well as pressure ulcers often seen in the elderly.
Additionally, candidates should have a good understanding of the specific wound and skin care market parameters such as sales cycles, key decision makers, competition, and referral patterns to insure repeat orders. A good understanding of product reimbursement in the different settings of use is essential.
The candidate will have to be able to develop the most profitable and cost efficient call pattern of potential accounts to maximize sales time and potential.

The candidate should be computer literate with good skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
A bachelor’s degree is required (business or the physical sciences is a plus)
