Division Accountant - Metro East

With multiple locations and opportunity for professional growth, this profitable 210M division of publicly held company is hiring 2 division accountants.  Reporting to the financial accounting manager you will be responsible for the following duties:

 

 

Division Accountant G/L - You will assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, account analysis and related journal entries.  You will be responsible for account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, rebate calculations and ad hoc projects, seeking ways to improve the quality of data through increased control over accounting processes. You will assist in reporting financials to corporate using Hyperion web based HFM.

 

For this Division Accountant G/L position, our client requires an accounting degree with 2+ years of general accounting experience and proficiency with Excel. 

 

Division Accountant G/L and Tax Compliance - You will assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, account analysis, related journal entries and reconciliations.  You will interface with the corporate tax group with related tax compliance. This will include the preparation of sales and use tax returns, preparation personal property tax returns and analysis, payments of real property tax and ad hoc projects.  You will also be in charge of fixed asset tracking and reporting with related amortization.  You will assist in reporting financials to corporate using Hyperion web based HFM.  You will be the go to guy with the financial accounting manager to interface with corporate for tax compliance issues. (It would be helpful to have knowledge of what a tax provision is, helping with division tax support.)

For this Division Accountant G/L - Tax Compliance position, our client requires an accounting degree with 3+ years of experience, including sales and use and personal property tax compliance experience. Proficiency with Excel is required.  Exposure to ERP systems would be helpful.
