Job Description:

Our client is looking for an EHS Coordinator who will administer established safety and environmental programs under the direction of corporate safety and environmental directors and managers.

Job Duties: Administer established safety and environmental programs under the direction of corporate safety and environmental directors and managersSchedule and conduct safety and environmental orientations for newly hired employees, periodic refresher training and scheduled safety meetingsMaintain knowledge base and become familiar with regulatory changes from State of New Mexico, EPA, OSHA and other applicable regulatory agenciesAcquire and maintain strong familiarity with all CEM safety and environmental procedures, programs and policesProvide feedback to management on safety and environmental procedures, programs and policies which will assist in future revisions and increase their effectivenessMonitor CEMS and provide data to Environmental Manager as required to facilitate timely reportingMaintain CEMS hardware and software as capable and as directedConduct frequent inspections of site conditions and work practices, initiate actions as necessary to correct hazardous conditions, etcConduct or direct First Aid/CPR/AED training of all employeesMaintain AEDâ?Ts & other safety related equipment in readinessOrganize and coordinate the actions of employee safety committeesMaintain safety and environmental records and documents as requiredCoordinate first-aid and safety supply requisition, purchase and inventoryCoordinate reporting of accidents with Administrative AssistantInvestigate accidents and incidents as directedOther duties as may be assigned

Job Requirements: Power plant or industrial EHS experience requiredExperience in operating and maintaining CEMS and DAHSKnowledge of Title V, acid rain and other clean air related permitsExperience in regulatory reporting to comply with CAA and CWA permitsKnowledgeable and experienced in OSHA 1910 requirementsExperience in both industrial safety and environmental management, preferably power generation, requiredAbove average computer skills requiredExcellent working knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office Suite, including MS Word and Excel, requiredSQL Server experience and capabilities desiredHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCollege education desiredSafety and/or environmental related degree desiredValid driver’s license required

Hours: Full-time, 40+ hours a week
Pay: $50,000 - $72,000 DOE depending on experience
Benefits: Full benefits package
