ENGINEERING MANAGER

Abengoa Bioenergy is seeking Engineering Managers for its corporate location in Chesterfield, MO to direct large project teams comprised of engineering resources and engineering firms that commit to and deliver service excellence.



Requirements

- Bachelor of science in engineering minimum from tier one engineering school

- Registered professional engineer

- Minimum of 15 years experience and 10 years minimum at an engineering firm with demonstrated role of increasing positions of responsibility

- Very strong leadership, communications, and organizational skills

- Clear, decisive thinker and problem solver with will-do glad-to can-do attitude that readily steps up to the daily challenges of demanding projects

- Thorough comprehension of pre-construction, detailed engineering, procurement, and construction project execution of $100 million plus capital expenditure projects.

- Thorough knowledge of industry design standards and project execution business practices

- Thorough ability to apply value engineering throughout design development execution

- Expertise with development of buy-out packages, contracts, and general contractor, subcontractor, and equipment supplier negotiations and contracting strategies

- Ability to prepare project scopes of work, scopes of services, engineering deliverables delineation

- Ability to assist contracts department with master services agreement development

- Ability to prepare written reports and power point presentations

- Ability to prepare, review, and approve various project execution documentation such as material take offs, capital expenditures, action items, meeting minutes, scheduling, budgets, monitoring, reporting, statusing, and quality assurance procedures

- Fundamental understanding of detailed design engineering plans and specifications and IBC codes

- Ability to travel
