Electrical Engineer

We accomplish this mission through our people—a cadre of exceptionally talented individuals who genuinely care about improving patient outcomes, and who work together to develop leading-edge technology and services. Responsible for electrical design/conversion of development evaluation boards and production design including PCB layout.  Provide manufacturing documentation support for design, development and revision of new and existing products.  Position would require interface with Manufacturing, Quality and other groups as necessary. Responsibilities include: Work with lead engineer to develop schematics and PCB’s for product evaluation. Convert schematics, select alternate components, work with packaging and design PCB’s for production. Generate manufacturing documentation for assembly of the PCB. Generate component level documentation and release documents into documentation systems. Support Purchasing in component procurement when availability problems arise Perform testing, verification and validation of designs. Assist with some System-Level Engineering support. Experience & Training: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Electrical Engineering or Electronics major preferred 1 or more years of experience in electrical engineering and PCB layout Knowledge of electronic components (resistors, capacitors, Op-Amps, FETs, etc) required Experience creating production documentation of components and assemblies. Familiarity with schematic capture & PCB layout software required (Cadence Capture/Allegro a plus) Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel required. Experience in portable electronics and miniaturization preferred. Design experience preferred. Experience using AutoCAD or Solidworks a plus. Good analytical and organizational skills. Task oriented, motivated, ability to work independently as well as support group efforts when required.
