Service Technician



The Service Technician evaluates, troubleshoots to component level, completes, and documents repairs of analog and digital camera controllers, camera heads, light sources, optical couplers, and other products as directed. Completes required repairs by aligning or upgrading software, burning-in, and testing (Final Check Out) of Returned Goods. Repairs and documentation must be in compliance with regulatory requirements. Primary objective is to complete repairs in a timely manner to reduce turnaround time and improve customer satisfaction.

 

Skilled Abilities

· Must be competent in utilization of schematics, test procedures, bills of materials, and product drawings.

· Requires practical knowledge and training in video and electronic theory, troubleshooting skills, and operation of various test equipment and hand tools.

· Must have good communication skills and work well with others under minimum supervision.

· Must be proficient with PCs and typical desktop applications such as Word and Excel.

 

Additional Qualifications

· Requires AA/AS degree in Electronic Technology or equivalent.

· Two years experience as electronic test and/or repair technician.

· Detail-oriented with strong PC skills.

· Capable with Microsoft Office software applications.

· Ability to read, write, comprehend and speak English.

· Good verbal and written communication skills.
