Exchange Administrator

Development Tool(s) and Platform(s):
-Windows NT or UNIX (4-6 years)
-Exchange 5.5, 2000, 2003
-HP hardware experience and HP Self Maintain certification preferred

Technical:
-4-6 years experience maintaining and/or modifying complex local area networks (LANs), to ensure system availability and functionality.
-Familiar with the principles of ensuring systems backups and systems availability scheduling.
-Monitors network capacity and performance.
-Makes recommendations concerning projected micro resource requirements, including personnel, software, equipment, security and facilities.
-Directs performance tuning and technology refreshment.
-Provide technical direction
-Must possess excellent Exchange 5.5, Windows NT and server skills in the areas of NS, Domain architecture, DNS and Wins.
-A very strong comprehension of TCP/IP as it relates to Windows NT.
-Good experience with NT Server Hardware specifically with Compaq Server Hardware.
-Experience in NT Systems Management tools, ARCserve, Virus management.
-Technical leadership skills within a large Exchange 5.5. NT Infrastructure.
-Exposure to NetIQ DRA valuable.
-Responsibilities: Technical support for the on-going delivery of a 500+ Microsoft NT Application and Exchange Server based massaging infrastructure.
-Monitoring, supervision and trouble reporting for North and Latin American Exchange Servers and Hubs & Microsoft NT application servers, fault diagnosis and isolation; and escalate problems/potential problems to proper support staff, vendors and clients;
-Maintain and update procedures for Operations support of existing messaging environments, public folders.
-Exposure to network (Cisco) and Unix/Internet infrastructures
