It's a rare combination for success that only a career with i3 Research can provide.  The Executive Director, Project Management & Administration is responsible for the strategic management and direction of the Project Management & Administration department in the delivery of quality clinical trial management services, achieving the stated goals of the Customer and i3 Research.  Major Responsibilities Oversee the direction of project teams and project management personnel to ensure timely delivery of high quality project deliverables, including: ·  Interact with customers and Directors to assure consistent performance and quality of work. ·  Provide leadership and direction to the Directors. ·  Ensures project teams are appropriately resourced by working with other i3 Research personnel as required. ·  Strategically assess resource utilization and make changes as necessary. ·  Assure training requirements of personnel are being met. Interact with other departments to ensure timely delivery of high quality project deliverables, including: ·  Identify problems and/or issues with personnel and/or processes across departments. ·  Work with associated department management in implementing processes to streamline the delivery of services to the customer. Responsible for overall performance management of personnel, including: ·  Assure Directors regularly provide feedback to team members (if applicable) on individual performance and contributions to the overall team effort.·  Participate in the performance review process for direct reports.·  Provide salary increase, promotion, or adjustment recommendations for all personnel.·  Communicate with Directors within Project Management & Administration as well as Directors of other departments on a regular basis. Responsible for administrative functions including: ·  Responsible for maintaining Project Management & Administration’s headcount within corporate guidelines.·  Maintenance of office facilities and associated issues. ·  Serve as Project Management & Administration’s representative on assigned task forces/committees. ·  Manage budgets in assigned areas. Provide support to Business Development, including: ·  Strategic development of processes required for interaction with Project Management & Administration.·  Assess and evaluate processes implemented and formulate appropriate plans for action.·  Participate in Customer capability and proposal defense meetings.·  Identify new business opportunities and communicate to appropriate personnel·  Direct and/or assist with proposal generation.·  Represent the project management function at customer audits. Manage personal career development and administrative tasks, including: ·  Participate in company-sponsored training programs as required to ensure that skills are learned, maintained, and focused accordingly.·  Perform necessary administrative functions and additional tasks as requested. ·  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, nursing or RN preferred ·  10 years or more of clinical research experience in the Pharmaceutical/CRO industry ·  Demonstrated experience in directing several project management teams across multiple functional areas ·  Experience and knowledge of clinical trial operations and the management of data ·  Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice/ICH Guidelines and other applicable regulatory requirements ·  Strong interpersonal savvy and the ability to build relationships both internally and with sponsors ·  Extensive acumen in problem solving, juggling multiple priorities and a commitment to quality and customer focus ·  Proven ability to build a successful team and to mentor, motivate and direct staff ·  Must demonstrate good computer skills Diversity creates a healthier atmosphere: equal opportunity employer M/F/D/V
