Experienced Protein Biochemist/Molecular Biologist - Agricultural

Kelly Scientific Resources is currently seeking a Protein Biochemist/ Molecular Biologist for an agricultural and industrial biotechnology company located in RTP, NC. This company is consistently involved in some of the most innovative research within the agricultural industry and is often seen as a leader in its field. The individual selected for this position will work at the bench, discovering and optimizing novel genes and proteins from microbial systems for use in transgenic plants to provide insect and/or nematode resistance.Requirements:- Experience with protein expression systems and recombinant DNA technologies, including expertise in heterologous gene expression, optimization and protein purification.- Experience with high throughput screening techniques and insect bioassays.- PhD, MS or BS in biochemistry or molecular biology with 1, 3 or 5 years of experience, respectively. *This is a direct hire position and relocation assistance will be provided.
