External Collaboration Mgr

Manage existing collaborations with external partners for the Vaccines Research projects, platforms and grants. Assess and manage opportunities for external collaborative research initiatives, to supplement and complement research capabilities. Major Accountabilities Globally represent Vaccines Research towards external collaborative research institutes, such as government agencies, academic collaborations and contract research partners. Facilitate collaborations from inception through contracting, to ensure that collaborations are executed in a timely fashion. Act as the primary contact with Legal,IP, BD&L, to ensure that appropriate contracts are developed and signed in rapid timeframe. Create and maintain summary information on status and progress of external collaborations. Create and provideprogress updates to external partners, to the Vaccines Research team, to Business Development & Licensing (BD&L) and to Vaccines senior management. Develop project schedules and coordinate with otherdepartments, BD&L and external partners to ensure timely completion of project milestones. Actively monitor and analyze project progress. Develop resource plans, facilitate resource allocation andtrack resource usage for external collaborations, in assistance to the project leaders. Collaborate with NV&D Finance to ensure full transparency of resource plans/actual resource usage. Track budgets of collaborations, and provide a system to show that they are clearly allocated back to appropriate functions and projects Assess and propose opportunities for external collaborative research initiatives, to supplement and complement existing research capabilities. Provide high quality input to research strategic plan. Manage all relations to external collaboration partners (e.g. scientific meetings, progress updates etc.). Facilitate prioritization of new proposals for external collaborations. Organizes and runs global team meetings.
