Field Compliance Analyst

Overview:

The Field Compliance Analyst will perform inventory control functions encompassing direct communication with the sales force to ensure compliance with company policies and the Prescription Drug Marketing Act (PDMA). This position calls for a highly trained individual who possesses knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures with compliance and inventory management within pharmaceuticals.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Candidate will be responsible for performing inventory reconciliations and monitoring field compliance programs to ensure conformity with policy and procedures. Individual must demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations and partner with field representatives to ensure compliance. Specific responsibilities will include:

• Assist with the reconciliation process and assist field personnel by working closely with third party vendor and sales field to reconcile inventory counts to computer-generated reports.
• Compile reports detailing the reconciliation process; identify sales representatives out of compliance with designated acceptable threshold levels.
• Investigate and resolve various inventory discrepancies such as overages, shortages, losses and thefts working closely with the sales force and internal departments to resolve.
• Monitor inventory levels out in the field and initiate action to balance inventories where possible and/or return of short-dated and expired product to the warehouses.
• Analyze results to identify patterns within the sales force and/or third party vendors and make recommendations to management.
• Monitor productivity and make suggestions for changes/improvements to existing processes and initiate new procedures that may increase efficiency.
• Maintain work instructions for all tasks position is responsible for.
• Ensure efficient processing with related forms and records for new hire employees, leave of absences, and representatives terminating.
• Ensure all deadlines are met and notify Manager in the event a deadline is affected.
• Assist with performing duties of Field Compliance staff; work on special projects as assigned.
• Demands during peak times may require work hours outside of normal working hours.


 

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Bachelors degree required; or two (2) to four (4) years related experience and/or training preferably in the pharmaceutical industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A general knowledge of PDMA and cGMP regulatory requirements.
• Proven knowledge of inventory control.
• Excellent leadership qualities as well as exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel skills are required.
• Occasional travel may be required.
