Field Service Engineering Manager - Toronto

My client is focused in the Life Science and Analytical Instrumentation industries. Combining operational excellence and technology expertise with an intimate understanding of its customers' needs. This company provides products and services in the Health Sciences market that require innovation, precision and reliability. It is a leading provider of scientific instruments, consumables and services to the pharmaceutical, biomedical, environmental testing and general industrial markets.

Position Description:

Ø Reports to the Regional Field Service Engineering Manager and is responsible for the direct management of 10-15 customer support engineers within Central and portions of Western Canada.

Ø Responsible for managing field service resources assigned to achieve established revenue and profitability goals.

Ø Ensures that all team members have the appropriate skills required to service the accounts in your assigned territory.

Ø Develops the business skills required and leads team engineers in the sale of new maintenance contracts, maintenance agreement upgrades and instrument add-ons to existing contracts.

Ø Position will be based in Toronto and must have existing client contacts within the analytical instrumentation industry within Central and Western Canada, and will travel to these clients as much as 50% of the time, however overnight travel will only be occasional.

 

Qualifications:

Ø BS in Chemistry with at least six (6) years of past experience in servicing analytical instrumentation. 

Ø Previous field service engineering management experience in the analytical instrumentation industry is required.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

Total compensation will be commensurate with the experience, but should be expected to fall within $90,000-$110,000.00
