Position Description:
Tasks and responsibilities:• Help create and manage Field Service spare parts & forecast for all Illumina platforms• Create and manage FSE tool kits, trunk stock, and calibration materials• Research country specific regulations and prepare required paperwork for shipping materials domestically and internationally, • Serve as point of contact for all shipping inquiries from Field Service team, • Monitor and track all shipments to/from Illumina and work with customs to resolve/prevent clearance delays, • Responsible for ensuring compliance with SOX, GMP, ISO and all quality regulations, • Assist in developing logistics plans and procedures (SOPs), • Work with freight carriers to improve performance and pricing, • Generate reports and complete special projects as assigned, • Acquire and maintain a clear understanding of the technologies utilized in Illumina’s products, parts, and services, • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. • Establish cycle counts through out all global inventory locations• Forecast and Maintain refurbished spare parts • Initiate and maintain decontamination documentation and processes• Manage the RMA (Return Material Authorization) process from opening date until closing date• Manage the logistics of instrument / lab transfers from one location to the other All listed tasks and responsibilities are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional task and responsibilities.Preferred educational background:• Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Materials Management, or equivalent experience• 2 years relevant experience in Shipping/Receiving and Materials Management Preferred experiential background:Knowledge and skills typically acquired through previous positions in fast-paced corporate environments which involved responsibility for similar work.• 2+ years related experience with at least 1 year in logistics, in particular international shipments and cold chain constraints.• Full experience with FedEx, DHL, UPS, and Interstate / International Couriers.• Demonstrated ability to research and resolve issues and some knowledge of import/export regulations.• Ability to analyze and resolve planning problems independently.• Some knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, word processing, spreadsheets, project management, etc. • Excellent math skills, strong organizational skills and very detail oriented.• Effective verbal and written communication, analytical and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interface well with cross-functional teammates.• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, JDE, SFDC desired. • Must be very detail oriented.• Knowledge or certified of ESD.• Work under ISO or GMP environment.
