(J&JPRD) a member of Johnson and Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Finance Manager supporting Research & Early Development (RED) in LaJolla California. J&JPRD develops treatments that improve the health and lifestyles of people worldwide. Research and development areas encompass novel targets in neurologic disorders, gastroenterology, oncology, infectious disease, diabetes, hematology, metabolic disorders, immunologic disorders and reproductive medicine. The RED unit in LaJolla is specifically focused on the discovery and early development of novels treatments focusing on inflammation and immunologic disorders. The Finance Manager will be a part of the Global J&J PRD Finance department and will report to the Controller, Research & Early Development located in LaJolla, CA. This role will have financial responsibility for west coast (WC) Discovery and Early Stage Development departments (both functional and project related) as well as several R&D Administration and Operations departments. The total site budget to be managed is approximately $ 180MM. Major responsibilities include providing financial reporting, financial analysis and information in support of decision making, strategic planning, project portfolio valuations, performance measurements, coordinating budget process, monitoring fixed assets, headcount reporting, and SOX and internal control compliance. This role requires interaction and collaboration with multiple Finance and R&D business partners located worldwide. The Finance Manager will work closely with the Controller and PRD Finance management to establish a strong finance leadership presence in LaJolla. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required. CPA,CMA, MBA or advanced degree with a concentration in finance or accounting preferred. A minimum of 6 years experience in finance or accounting required. Manager experience is preferred for this position, but will consider ready now Sr candidates. Experience within the pharmaceutical industry preferred, but not essential. Individual must be able to think analytically and be self-driven to lead finance processes. Interdependent partnering, collaboration, mastering complexity and strong communication skills are required. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint are required. Proficiency in SAP preferred. Apply Now
