For more information about PAREXEL International visit www.PAREXEL.com Essential FunctionThe Financial Analyst supports the financial analysis of Operational Management, including analysis of actual cost, preparation of monthly revenue recognition and project analysis.Key Accountabilities' Identifies trends impacting revenue recognition and profitability (forecast amounts, EUAC vs. Budgeted Units impact, Earned vs. Actual revenues for all URR studies, net pass through review, labour / forecast mismatches, etc.)' Ensures appropriate revenue recognition (SAB104 compliant) is performed' Maintains compliance with respect to SAB104 and Sarbanes-Oxley (i.e., perform monthly audits of contract values, project-to-date revenue, contract status, units completed to date, etc.' Provides analysis and reporting on actual project performance metrics versus budget and forecast and suggesting corrective action to improve efficiency and financial performance' Provides Project Profitability - Revenue Forecasting (Project Level)' Provides Backlog Analysis- Billed, Unbilled/Deferred A/R- Audit Support' Supports the Functional Operations Leader(s) in reporting and analysis of functional department results' Provides project reconciliation and co-ordination of closure' Prepares accruals' Continuously improves upon skills with all PAREXEL financial applications (PA, Oracle, Hyperion, etc.) and related reporting tools (ADI, Business Objects, Excel, Project Portal, etc.) in the interest of departmental cross-training and system skills development' Assists in the preparation of financial reports and analysis as requested' Assists Project Managers/Sr Mgt provide input in periodic presentations to Senior Management concerning project financial results and resources' Assist in quarterly and year end audits where requested' Prepares spreadsheets and other tools used in the monthly close processSkills' Excellent understanding of accounting and financial concepts' Good understanding of US GAAP' Demonstrated attention to detail' Ability to organize, meet strict deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team' Well-experienced with Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)' Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills' Strong analytical and problem-solving skills' Good financial modeling skills' Ability to organize, meet strict deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team' Has the ability and confidence to get into the detail of the systems to a transactional level to find the cause of an issue, to understand that detail and the cause - and to solve it".
