Financial Business Planning & Analysis

This position will provide Business Planning and Analysis (BPA) support to the US Oncology/Hematology Business Franchise.
The person will be part of the Brand Franchise Leadership Team (BFLT) and work closely with the Franchise Head (responsible for Sales and Marketing) and also with the Brand Teams. Candidate will play a key role as a Business partner, working with the Franchise Head to drive commercial success. This person will be the primary Finance liaison for 3-4 US Oncology Brand Teams, and will work closely with those teams on all aspects of their P&L for Budgets, Latest Estimates, and Month/Quarter latest Outlook. This person will test & challenge assumptions underlying financial plans, and ensure transparency of those assumptions. He/she will stay up to date on risks & opportunities that may impact the Brand’s performance vs. plan, and will be current on Brand/market demand trends, product inventory, and other relevant analyses/data. This person will also participate in monthly Demand Analysis meetings to contribute to the discussion around production forecasts. In general this person will ensure that financial forecasts for these brands reflect the most up-to-date information and analytics from across the organization.

In addition to brand-specific responsibilities, the individual will have responsibility for leading selected BU Finance planning processes and for providing Finance support to selected BU-wide processes. In particular, the individual will manage and coordinate Finance support to the long-term planning of the business through the annual strategic planning process. He/she will also be responsible for coordinating the monthly/quarterly latest outlook process for the entire US Oncology Business.

A significant portion of the candidate’s time will be devoted to special projects, which will be of a varied nature based upon the needs of the business. Examples of such a project would be to help build the business case for a proposed investment/initiative, or to analyze the allocation of investments across the US Oncology Portfolio to maximize return. The individual should have a working knowledge of financial modeling, NPV analysis, ROI analysis, and sensitivity analysis. The individual will also assist in preparing analyses, reports and presentations for Sr. Management. As with all members of the US Oncology Finance Team, the individual will be expected to help ensure the Oncology BU is compliant with internal control standards, reporting requirements, accounting guidance, and will be observant for any potential Code of Conduct issues.
 

Skills: The preferred candidate will have a demonstrated knowledge of Finance systems and processes, pharmaceutical industry experience, and excellent analytical skills. An MBA and/or CPA is required.
