Financial Systems Analyst - Data Warehouse Work Location: Frisco, TXShifts: Not ApplicablePositions Available: 1Position Summary Under direction of the EBI Director, responsible for facilitating the implementation of a new time entry/project management application (Xpert) that directly interacts with the Baan ERP Financial Modules. This position will assist with developing Crystal Reports, Business Object Universes and Business Objects dashboards during the implementation. Long term responsibilities will be to support and implement new enhancements to the current financial data in the SQL server Data Warehouse. Primary Duties and Responsibilities • Must have strong personal skills to interact with all levels of management and associates. Will need to coordinate efforts with different parts of the IT organization. • Potential to work with various accounting departments. • Accounting knowledge is mandatory. • Must have solid written and verbal communication skills including experience collecting and documenting user requirements and writing functional specifications.• Must have understanding of general business processes and concepts in both distribution and service industries.Job duties include reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems, user needs and communicating this information to SQL developers. • Formulates system functionality to parallel over all business strategies. • Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions and steps required to modify tables, views and reports.• Familiar with both relational data warehouse concepts and client-server concepts. • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. • Performs a variety of tasks. • Must have proven experience in a fast paced environment without constant supervision to meet set goals. Experience and Education Requirements 4 year Accounting, MIS or Finance degree required, 2 years experience with Crystal Reports, Business Objects XI or similar reporting tool, and 2+ years of Data Warehouse experience preferred. Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and Visio. Highly organized, with superior problem resolution and analytical skills.. Attention to detail and strong interpersonal, communication and training skills required, as is the ability to work effectively in a team. Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Able to work effectively under pressure with multiple priorities and deadlines.
