Position Description:

In the context of the Global Clinical Operations, the Head of Outsourcing Unit leads his/her skills group in France and USA to define and implement the outsourcing strategy in order to support the registration of new vaccines. He/she works in close collaboration with the other Heads of Clinical Operations platforms, the Head of Clinical development. He/she reports to the global head clinical operations with a double black line to Head R&D purchasing.? Represents his/her platform within the global Clinical Operations management team, the global clinical department leadership team? Leads outsourcing unit globally within Clinical Operations. Ensures global harmonization of practices, processes and tools between sites. ? Leads the outsourcing strategy definition and execution with the global head of clinical operations platforms and R&D purchasing.? Leads the outsourcing budget exercise and reviews the budget in collaboration with Platform Heads and R&D Finance.? Manages the relationship with preferred vendors to ensure an effective communication, a timely and successful completion of outsourced activities, a resolution of issues in accordance with the purchasing policy and the finance amounts approved. Coordinate the preparation and conduct of the steering committees with CRO partners. ? Monitors the performance of outsourced activities and provides reports on a regular basis to clinical department and purchasing board. ? Ensures that global strategies and standards pertaining to Outsourcing Unit activities follow strictly the purchasing, finance and legal policies and guidelines and that they are consistently applied in his/her unit.? Ensures that development plans are in place for his/her unit collaborators to ensure preparation of future requirements. ? Ensure that activities related to his/her unit are conducted with optimum quality and efficiency in the respect of R&D strategy and priorities and to meet global regulatory requirements.? Define, develop, implement and monitor new methods, standards (process), tools and procedures to support operational activities and implement continuous improvements, identify process issues requiring resolution at the global level and propose solutions? Develop a knowledge sharing of best practices and a network with other pharmas industries to improve efficiency of his/her unit? Qualifications:

? Advanced degree in Biology, Life Science; MA/MS/MBA or equivalent experience in Business/purchasing; 5 years of relevant industry experience? Demonstrated clinical trial experience in relationship to resource allocation, trial planning, budgetary and contract experience, and experience of managing relationships with external vendors? Management and organizational skills, including a previous experience of management. Ability to anticipate job evolution, define and implement collaborators development plan? Good interpersonal and oral/written communication skills. Fluent professional English.? Autonomy, ability to take decision and follow implementation? Global mindset and intercultural awareness, capability to understand differences of each site.
