There is no better time to join us! Currently, we are seeking a Global Marketing Director to join our Covance Early Development team. This position will be based out of Madison, Wisconsin. In this key marketing leadership role, you will be responsible for helping to define and implement strategies to support the growth of our Clinical Pharmacology group, the Early Development division and Covance. Your specific responsibilties include: Managing global marketing for assigned business unit, identifying new business opportunities and supporting existing Covance business objectives. Leading global market development activities for assigned business unit. Developing and executing strategic and tactical marketing plans for assigned business unit. Providing marketing leadership and input to global and local strategic planning process Monitoring and evaluating competitor and client intelligence and developing appropriate strategies to optimize potential opportunities. Coordinating with other Covance units as appropriate to develop and implement programs or develop new services to maximize growth. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with leaders of the business unit to coordinate objectives and identify, develop, and launch new service lines. Working on a wide range of problems where causal relationships are difficult to establish and the use of creative thinking is required. Initiating and carrying out appropriate self-development activities. Managing the direction, development, and work of one or more direct reports. In this role, you will have an opportunity to interact with key stakeholders within Covance including Marketing managers, directors, VP, and sales leadership in Early Development; Senior leadership in Labs North America, Labs Europe and Global Clinics; Corporate marketing and Marketing staff in other divisions. This position will require up to 25% travel including attendance to domestic and international technical conferences/exhibits, and entertaining clients after regular business hours as required. Requirements: BS degree, preferably in marketing, business or science; MBA preferred 7-10 years experience in a product management or other marketing role, including experience developing and launching new products or services. Demonstrated success in driving results in a matrix environment and through cross-functional teams Experience managing multiple projects with varying timelines to successful completion Demonstrated ability to identify new opportunities for growth and drive change throughout an organization Results orientation Preferred: Understanding of drug development process International business experience At Covance, we help make the miracles of medicine a reality.
