Global Marketing Manager

International Pharmaceutical company seeks a Global Marketing Manager for their Georgia Headquarters.  Candidates must have current experience working in a global marketing role for a pharmaceutical manufacter. 

Primary Functions   Develop, gain approval, and execute Global franchise and marketing plans for those Brand(s) assigned by the Vice President, Global SRD Franchise and New Product Planning, and to achieve fiscal prescription, sales and profit goals.  This is to be accomplished in conjunction with other marketers around the world including but not limited to, Area Marketing Managers, Product Managers, Directors of Marketing, and the Global Brand Team. Coordinate with management the development, communication, and field understanding of the marketing plan and where appropriate POA programs. Manages the development of Global estimates of brand sales and market shares. Manage the development of Global forecasts for internally developed products, in-line products, new indications, and new market opportunities. Continuously analyze the competition, physician demographics, reimbursement factors, and other market conditions affecting the assigned brands and therapeutic areas.  Propose and if approved execute strategic and tactical promotional programs consistent with these conditions and available department and field resources. Routinely analyze and report market performance of the assigned brands using internal and external data sources. Design and conduct market research to support product goals, determine attitudes and to gain feedback to the viability of marketing opportunities.   Work with ad agency and other outside vendors in developing appropriate media schedules, journal ads, direct mail, reimbursement, trade and other programs that support the approved marketing plans. Serve as the primary point of contact for Research and Development for their therapeutic area when marketing input and guidance is required for products in development. Develop key opinion leader relationships, globally, for the therapeutic areas and brands within the area of responsibility.   Execute Global Strategic Communication plans consistent with the Global Brand and when and where appropriate in conjunction with the Area’s marketing plan/positioning. Collect, receive and maintain marketing information, including company and competitive product information, packaging and labeling files and any other information that is appropriate in sustaining viable product management. Assist in convention planning and coordination of convention activities as needed Coordinated public relations or corporate communications efforts with the Manager of Global and Corporate communications.   Special projects as deemed necessary by the Vice President.

 Requirements/Qualifications: BA/BS or similar degree and/or equivalent work experience. MBA Preferred Highly organized and able to work independently. Excellent communication skills. 2-5 yrs. Pharmaceutical Specialty field sales experience required.

1-3 Years Pharmaceutical Specialty field sales management

2-5 years Pharmaceutical Specialty marketing experience required International Pharmaceutical experience required. 40%+ travel required. Working knowledge of Windows 2000/XP, word processing, spreadsheet and database computer software (Microsoft Office Applications).  Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe PhotoShop and QuarkXpress, a plus.
