***PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY – DERMATOLOGY / SKIN CARE*** The Global New Product Planning Director  will report to the VP, Global New Product Planning (NPP) and will manage, direct, and guide assigned new product planning initiatives and non-core products  for company’s global marketing. The position  will work closely with the Therapeutic Franchise Leaders and Area Marketing Managers around the world to educate and lead initiatives where central coordination of new product planning activities and non-core therapeutic efforts would be most efficient. Close contact with other functional departments will be required, such as clinical, regulatory, legal, corporate development, etc., to implement new product planning activities and to maximize the commercial potential of assigned non-core products.Primary Functions· Attain comprehensive global knowledge of  company’s customers, treatment patterns, marketed products, competitors, therapeutic classes, investigational medicines and thorough understanding of diseases and products that are used to treat those diseases.  Develop relationships with thought leaders.· Support marketing leadership for the assigned program team and non-core therapeutic area with commercially oriented analysis and information that involves market/competitor analysis and opportunity identification.· In conjunction with the VP, Global NPP, work closely with franchise and area team members to develop and implement SOPs for new product planning initiatives. Then lead the initiatives such as global brand naming, publication strategy guidelines, reimbursement and pricing guidelines, and commercial area opportunity assessments, etc.· Serve as the primary point of contact for Research & Development and other functional areas for assigned new product planning activities and non-core therapeutic area and brands when marketing input and guidance is required for products in development.· Manage the development of global forecasts for assigned internally developed products, in-line products, new indications, and new market opportunities by providing assumptions backed by secondary and/or primary market research.· Continuously analyze the global competition, physician/patient demographics, reimbursement factors, and other market conditions affecting the assigned brands.  Propose and help support new product proposals from each of the global areas for preliminary and final management review· Design and conduct market research to support product goals, determine attitudes and to gain feedback to the viability of marketing opportunities.· Develop product life cycle and strategic marketing plans for assigned non-core products to optimize commercial potential, including unique and sustainable competitive advantages for pipeline products.· Develop comprehensive commercialization and launch plans for assigned non-core pipeline products by liaising with Brand Marketing.· Participate in Product Portfolio Planning Team to identify and recommend pipeline development products.· Contribute to product commercialization and new product planning budgets.· Proactively keep management informed regarding commercial development performance, budget variances, risks and opportunities.· Independently manage multiple projects to completion.· Required travel: 30%· Serve as the primary point of contact for Research and Development for new product planning and assigned non-core therapeutic area when marketing input and guidance is required for products in development.· Special projects as deemed necessary by the Vice President. Work Relationships· Frequent and varied contacts with:Senior management, Research and Development personnel, Global Marketing Team, Corporate Development Team, Manufacturing personnel, Purchasing personnel, Influential dermatologists and clinicians, Field sales and management personnel, Advertising agency, Outside vendors. Job Complexity· Decision making – a) Participates in determining overall business objectives and the formulation of appropriate marketing strategies, b) Recommends guidelines and procedures for work performed by staff personnel.· Innovation/Creativity – A high degree of creativity is required.  Many problems/opportunities must be addressed that are not easily anticipated.  A high degree of creativity is required to optimize limited resources. Requirements/Qualifications:· BA/BS or Degree..... MBA Preferred· Cross Cultural exposure – Global / International experience.·"RECENT PRODUCT PORTFOLIO PLANNING"& "PIPELINE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT" are KEY elements.....A MUST!· 7-10+ yrs. Pharmaceutical Industry with experience at a Director-Level Capacity.· The candidate will have sales, market research, new product planning, product marketing and product launch experience with a thorough knowledge of the drug development and approval process. 2-5 years Pharmaceutical Specialty marketing experience required.· Candidates will have a track record of effectively participating and leading mission critical teams.· Candidates should have the ability to assimilate large amounts of information, analyze data, summarize and develop strategic recommendations.· Demonstrated ability to differentiate, prioritize and manage multiple projects, including effective management of outside vendors.  · Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently and within a team environment is required.· Market Research and/or Traditional Marketing exposure is very key to this position.· International Pharmaceutical experience preferred....Skin Care Products; Dermatology Products.· 30%+ travel required.· Working knowledge of Windows 2000/XP, word processing, spreadsheet and database computer software (Microsoft Office Applications).  Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe PhotoShop and QuarkXpress, a plus. Competitive Compensation + 20% Bonus + Company Car + Relocation PLESE EMAIL RESUME TO:  TheSearchers2000@msn.com MRINetwork is the largest and most successful search organization in the world.
