Global Supply Chain Manager

 Our client, the world's largest medical device company dedicated to less-invasive medicine, is looking for a Global Supply Chain Manager living near the eastern shore of the San Francisco Bay who will be responsible for worldwide inventory, service levels, and contract manufacturer/OEM relationships for their Neurovascular, Cardiovascular and Peripheral Interventions Division. No relocation is available for this position. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will have strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills and be able to lead monthly S&OP process, collaborating with Marketing, Finance, and Operations to integrate business processes and develop solutions. This person will understand regional strategies to provide work direction to Planners and Analysts maintaining accurate forecasts and managing finished goods requirements. They will be able to anlayze and diagnose service level failures and implement corrective actions. The Global Supply Chain Manager will determine inventory policy throughout the supply chain process, review replenishment targets, provide inventory analysis, and proactively manage backorders. They will have the opportunity to calculate and improve on on EE&O, analyzing the economics of inventory investment to determine the optimal inventory build given launch assumptions and risks. They will support supply chain decisions via data warehousing and other decision support tools and monitor and influence production order release and manufacturing execution. The Global Supply Chain Manager will apply their expertise and innovation to develop policies, processes, people and systems. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be a successful Sr. Analyst, Sr. Planner, or Manager with 3 or more years of SAP experience in Supply Chain and/or Materials planning; Strong Excel and PowerPoint capabilities; a consultative problem solving approach; a Medical Device or pharma background; and a Bachelors Degree (MBA is a plus). They will have 7-10 years of broad materials management experience. They will also have strong PC skills in Excel, Access, and PowerPoint and the communication skills necessary to successfully interact at all levels of the organization. This person will have proven project management and excellent facilitation skills with the ability to overcome obstacles. They will be a self-motivated independent worker with a high level of data accuracy in all tasks; highly adaptable, flexible and willing to develop new ideas, processes, and procedures. The Global Supply Chain Manager will have experience interacting with international planning and marketing organizations and a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally within various business disciplines/divisions including OEM's and contract manufacturing.Desired: APICS certification (CPIM), JIT exposure in a manufacturing environment, Masters degree Materials Management or a related field, Lean Manufacturing exposure or experience, Previous employee management experience.
