Job Description Global Trade Compliance Specialist Position Summary: This position will be primarily responsible CCG RSH U.S. import tariff classification of all products as well as U.S. chemical products for exports.  The position will be responsible for development, maintenance, and enhancements of the classification work procedures and communication with internal CCG staff and CCG Customs brokers of tariff information.  Secondary responsibilities will include working with various groups within CCG to help strengthen processes to ensure compliance with applicable regulations (19 CFR, HTSUS).  Position will also be responsible for ensuring the completion of Customs requests for additional information (e.g., CF 28s, CF 29s).  Will provide assistance in export activities as necessary. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: Candidate should possess a Bachelors degree (preferably of a technical nature, e.g., chemistry, biology, etc) and have 2-3 years relevant experience.  In absence of a degree, candidate must have at least 5 years experience in the classification of commodities for import and export.  A Customs Brokerage license is a plus. Candidate needs to be able to interpret government regulations and have a general understanding of technical language.  Candidate should have the ability to travel up to 15 percent of the time.  Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:   Basic computer skills (i.e. Office) Collaborative Good communication skills Self motivated Detail oriented / process driven Education: BachelorsJob Level: Experienced
