Government Account Manager, Southwest REQUIREMENTS:1.  Bachelors degree2.  Persuasive communication ability with well developed negotiating skills.3.  Comprehensive understanding of current pharmaceutical and health care business and legislative issues.4.  Successful sales record.5.  Adept analysis skills with an ability to understand business and financial implications of programs and contracts6.  Proficiency with Microsolt Excel, Outlook and Word.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The Southwest territory includes LA, TX, CO, KS, MO, NM, and OK.  Specific duties include:• Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key decision makers in designated State Government Accounts and gather customer and market intelligence in order to effectively represent BIPI interest to State Government Accounts.• Maintain and utilize product knowledge and effective selling skills to promote the value of BIPI drugs in State Government Accounts.• Execute State Government Accounts market strategy and ensure that business objectives are achieved.• Collaborate with other BI departments through matrixed relationships to identify and capitalize on business opportunities in State Government Accounts and ensure the optimization of all available resources.• Plan, initiate, conduct contact negotiations with State Government Accounts to attain positive formulary placement of BIPI drugs.• Implement and lead value-add and pull-through programs in State Government Accounts where appropriate.• Execute the effective launch of new drugs in State Government Accounts.• Develop and implement a regional State Government Account business plan.• Provide regular regional updates to the Dir., State Government Sales and State Government Accounts Market Manager to identify significant market trends.• Perform all company business in compliance and accordance with all state and federal regulations, and BI Company Policy and Procedures.
