The company also provides contract management, logistics and supply chain functions for the major Johnson & Johnson franchises. Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems is currently recruiting for a Government Contract Attorney. The Government Contract Attorney will undertake assignments in key areas of law related to State and Federal government contracting, Government pricing programs reimbursing for medical devices and pharmaceuticals, such as Medicare and Medicaid, the False Claims Act, the Federal Anti-Kickback statute and associated regulatory safe harbors. Strong leadership, relationship and organizational skills are critical in this role to effectively advise Johnson & Johnson Operating Companies on compliance with these laws and Johnson & Johnson compliance policies and guidance. You will be the key "go-to" person for advice on government contract offers, negotiations, performance and compliance. You will be a critical participant in the development of commercial pricing and contracting strategies that impact compliance with laws in these areas. You will help to lead Johnson & Johnson in its efforts to set industry standards for compliance in government contracting and pricing. You will be actively involved in efforts to influence the external environment in the areas of government contracting and pricing. You will serve as the primary point of contact for the JJHCS Government center of excellence. You will support the JJHCS Government team and the Law Department by developing training materials, developing compliance policies and tools, responding to audits and supporting the Government Compliance Council. You will advise other Johnson & Johnson Operating Companies on compliance in these areas and expand awareness of government compliance initiatives and obligations. The successful candidate will have a minimum of a J.D., and five years post admission experience with a law firm. Experience with a health care company is preferred. Expertise in providing sound, ethical legal advice on government compliance (contracting, pricing, dispute resolution, negotiation, interpretation of regulations), advising clients on development of legally compliant strategies, and balancing needs of multiple clients is required. Working knowledge of Anti-Kickback statute, safe harbors, False Claims Act, and other relevant areas of law impacting health care product contracting activities is necessary. Experience developing and/or implementing a compliance program for company(ies) operating in a regulated environment is preferred. Qualified candidate will have experience identifying and managing resolution of multiple, complex ethical and legal issues. Experience with Federal and State Government pharmaceutical/health care contracts and procurement regulations strongly preferred. Knowledge of Government pricing programs (Medicaid, Medicare, Public Health Service Program, Federal Supply Schedule contracts with VA/DoD, Part D) preferred. Admission to and in good standing with at least 1 state bar required. Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work with cross functional groups within a matrix organization necessary for success in this position. Must demonstrate passion for compliance. Must understand of key business and legal issues facing Johnson & Johnson, critical legal and industry trends, Johnson & Johnson's strategic priorities, policies and culture.
