Group Product Director - (Job Number: 0804922) DescriptionOrtho Neutrogena a leader in the specialty pharmaceutical marketplace is currently looking for a Group Product Director to support all of our professional skincare businesses. This position will be located in Los Angeles, CA, but have responsibility for all marketing efforts globally for Ortho Neutrogena and Colbar Life Sciences. Ortho Neutrogena markets leading dermatological pharmaceutical products prescribed by dermatologists. Colbar Life Sciences currently markets Aesthetic medical device products internationally and will be looking to create an active marketplace presence in the US. The Group Product Director will have responsibilities for an international team currently with staff in Los Angeles, New Jersey, and Switzerland. This position will require providing leadership and development for this geographically dispersed team in support of driving market leadership and growth across our portfolio of products and brands. This individual will be accountable for owning and growing market-leading prescription brands like Retin-A Micro, Renova, Ertaczo, and Biafine. This position will also be responsible for the launch of the Evolence brands in the US and building a comprehensive portfolio of Aesthetic products. This leadership position will be charged with developing comprehensive short and long-range strategies and programs for multiple product lines. The role requires close collaboration and partnerships with both internally and external groups to support the sales and profit objectives of the organization. Serve as key liaison with Sales Leadership, KOL's, Physicians and Medical organizations to build our market place effectiveness. To be successful in this role, the individual selected will be required to: Apply advanced knowledge of marketing principles and strategies. Understand Ortho Neutrogena and ColBar brand strategies, competitors and key accounts. Direct all elements of Marketing including new product concepts and development, advertising creative media, promotions, public relations, research, pricing and packaging multiple product lines. Establish strategic marketing plans to drive sales and profit that meet company goals. Adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions; monitor competitive products and marketing activities. Oversee and evaluate market research. Direct the preparation for all brand presentations, including Business Plans and Sales Meetings. Guide preparation of marketing activity reports and present to executive management. Develop and manage marketing operating budget. Ensure effective control of marketing results, and take corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets. Achieve satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share to meet marketing plan goals. Identify, select, and retain high performing employees with the organization Plan and direct performance and development of the entire marketing team. A Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Marketing from a four-year college or university required, with a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) Degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Eight years of related marketing experience is required. This experience should include; traditional pharmaceutical sales and/or marketing experience, experience in the specialty pharma industry, leading the launch of new products, managing large and complex budgets, and direct management of a large geographically dispersed team. Will be responsible for ensuring a unified brand image and message throughout all advertising, packaging and promotional efforts. Must be able to develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share. Initiates marketing surveys and research projects on current and new product concepts, and provide feedback for future product development. Direct research and analysis to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity.
