HR Coordinator/Assistant

Department: Human Resources

Reports To: VP of Human Resources 

Summary: Reporting to the VP of HR, the HR Coordinator/Assistant will function as the administrative support for the VP of HR and the dept staff. S/he will also play a lead role in coordinating key Human Resources Projects including the coordination of HR related meetings and candidate interviews. S/he may also be asked to coordinate corporate training programs. Serve as first point of contact for employees coming in to Human Resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following.

Administrative support for VP of HR, including scheduling meetings, creating documents and producing presentations.

Responsible for the general administrative support of the HR staff, including: scheduling candidate interviews, making travel arrangements, preparing new employee orientation packages, employee handbook, etc.

Maintain and update HR staff on HR projects.

Serve as first point of contact for employee questions/issues. Respond to questions/issues as appropriate and direct employees to appropriate HR staff when necessary.

Coordinate registration/scheduling of training programs.

Manage other HR projects as assigned.

Education/Qualification/Requirements

· High School Diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred

· 2-3 years HR support/administration experience required

· Scheduling, organizing skills; MS Office; HRIS experience

· Must be able to work effectively independently and obtain and provide clear, concise and timely information to all key constituents regarding project scope, objectives, status, changes, issues/resolutions and achievements throughout the project life-cycle

· Articulate; writing skills; ability to work independently; proactive.

· Ability to multi-task.

· Exceptional customer service skills.
