HR Generalist

Abcam is a rapidly growing business, specializing in the production and sale of antibodies and related products. We are a web-based business, with offices in Cambridge, USA, Cambridge, UK and Tokyo, Japan.

This role provides the opportunity to be a key player in the HR team. Reporting to the Head of HR in the UK your focus will be on recruitment, benefits and payroll administration, employee relations and training & development.


The successful candidate will have significant experience in a truly generalist HR role. A good sense of humour and the ability to multi task and carry a varied workload is essential. You should have a bachelor’s degree, proven skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and the ability to handle sensitive information and communicate concise information about payroll, benefits and other sensitive issues. A high level of maturity and strong team mentality are very important. The ability to travel to the UK approximately twice a year is essential.

Previous experience in running payroll and benefits administration would be a strong advantage, however full training can be provided on our payroll system.
