SUMMARY: Plans, organizes and controls all aspects of the interviewing, hiring, termination, insurance, training, and corporate growth objectives by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

·  Create and maintain employee record files

·  Update and maintain employee manual

·  Maintain a safety-training program

·  Maintain OSHA regulation files

·  Implement and maintain a new employee orientation

·  Create new employee packets

·  Arrange company events

·  Maintain and update employment application

·  Maintain filing system for applications received

·  Maintain and update insurance files and annually reassess plan with insurance brokers

·  Deal with all insurance claims (Health, Dental, Life, Disability, Worker’s Comp, etc.)

·  Maintain retirement plan (401k) records

·  Maintain employee forms (hiring, termination, questionnaires, performance appraisals, etc.)

·  Maintain and update job descriptions for all employee positions

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will have a four-year college or university program degree in Human Resources or related field and/or 2 to 4 years related human resource management experience.

SKILLS and ABILITIES

Strong computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook). Possess strong organizational skills. Ability to complete work in an accurate and efficient manner. Must have excellent communication skills in both reading and writing. Ability to independently plan and organize one’s own activities.
