Health Economics Outcomes Research Manager

OVERVIEWThe purpose of the Health Economics Outcomes Research Manager is to contribute to development and commercialization decisions by providing outcomes assessments and developing related evidence throughout the life cycle of Teva Neuroscience products. Health outcomes evidence complements data on clinical efficacy/safety and demonstrates value in the context of competitive environments. The Manager completes or manages analyses of data that provide costs and benefits of medical interventions to support product selection and reimbursement, including formulary dossier submissions and health economics and outcomes research publications.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Develops protocols and conducts and reports results of studies to evaluate the value of pharmaceuticals, including decision analytical models, prospective randomized or naturalistic clinical trials, survey projects, and retrospective database evaluations. • Defines statistical design and methodology for new protocols, conducts statistical analysis to derive conclusions from collected data and/or database sources and identifies new opportunities for value-added analytics. • Participates in multidisciplinary teams to plan and manage health outcomes projects, either directly or in collaboration with external consultants or contract research organizations, and facilitates the dissemination of results. • Continuously surveys and reviews health economics and outcomes research literature and participates in symposia and congresses where Health economics and outcomes research has a venue. • Contributes to the development of health economics and outcomes research strategies for new and marketed products, in close collaboration with clinical, medical and marketing departments in the US. • Presents research results at scientific conferences and submits manuscripts to peer-reviewed scientific journals. • Reviews protocols and recommends health economics and outcomes research assessments that could be incorporated into product development and market support trials in North America. QUALIFICATIONSEducation required:  Master's degree in health economics, decision analysis, biostatistics or related field Education preferred:  PhD in health economics, decision analysis, biostatistics or related fieldYears of experience required: 2-4 years related professional experience, preferably in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, academic or consulting environmentYears of experience preferred: 4 years or more Specific type of experience required:  Demonstrated experience in executing applied outcomes studies (economic and patient-reported outcomes) and a strong statistical background with experience in SAS or SPSS programming.Specific type of experience preferred:  Demonstrated experience in executing applied outcomes studies (economic and patient-reported outcomes) with drug development / commercialization objectives, and intermediate to advanced skills in decision analytic modeling and SAS or SPSS programming.
